I had a HIV test a few months ago and it really was one of the scariest things I've ever done. I had been reading up on HIV and how it can remain dormant in your body with no visible symptoms for up to 10 years. That little statistic had me crapping my pants with worry so I decided to take the test.

I ordered one of those Home Access kits that is mailed to your house. You have to prick your finger with a needle and fill a little space on a card with some blood, send it back and wait a few agonizing days. When you call up and get your test results for HIV you are basically finding out if you are going to live or die, so those few days of waiting were really bad.

Anyways good news is I was negative for HIV, but positive for the clap, syphillis, and clamidia. Seriously though glad I finally tested myself because I am now so relieved.

I blame Michael Jackson and Bubbles.

On the other note, at age 21 I actually contracted a slight case of Ratt rash when I put Way Cool Jr. on replay and then fell asleep.

Oh God, I haven't heard or thought about that song in over a decade. I shutter at the memories of when I used to be a Ratt fan. No wonder my parents were worried about me.

Although its a very serious matter and everybody(especially kids) in society should be well informed about this dreaded disease; I want to say about a kid talking about how AIDS spreads --> "If someone pisses in a particular place, the next person who pisses in the same place will get the disease as the area is AIDS infected(Eg. the ground)."
You can imagine the ignorance levels.

Now you just have to check back in 5-7 years for symptoms of mad cow disease.

I watched the short version (21 min) of Prominence's documentary
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...31400057553023

around 14.30 mins into the video the commentator tells us why:
"AIDS is not being caused by conventional sex and why the clean needles and safe sex programs will do little to stop aids."

    really?
this video is extremely dangerous in my opinion.

Yeah... but after a stream of extreme 911 links ad nauseum by the poster, his credibility is closer to spammer than anything else. I don't even click his links any longer... it's all the same.

<subject matter>...blah, blah, blah... cover-up... blah, blah, blah... what really happen(-s, -ed)... blah, blah, blah... this is the real truth behind the truth... blah, blah, blah... other theories... blah, blah, blah.

Crackpot theorist should perish. All except the bigfoot/UFO photographers. I just love how they're so intent on finding their subject matter, yet have the absolute crappiest cameras since 1954.

I relate to what visonary said...
Waiting for your results... I remember the first time I got tested.
You walk around looking at everyone else around you thinking "they could be alive, they could be dead already". Seeing everyone around you live, while you yourself might be on the verge of death.
... Then I grew up and realised that we're all gonna die anyway, might as well go out with a bang

in most cases, dying as a result of aids couldn't be described as 'a bang'. it's usually [compariteively] slow and painful.

I think it was Chris Rock who described it best. This is nowhere near a direct quote, just going from memory....something like.... when you start thinking about AIDS and getting and HIV test, you start to think of every single crazy person you have ever hooked up with. You start calling them up just to see if they are still alive.

    "Hi, is Sharonda there?"

    "No she died"

    "Oh hell no!!!"

"Yeah she died in a car accident."

    "Hallelujah!!!!!"

I know that's bad but still funny.
