    Audio Track - Buffering??

    Greetings,

I have this audio track, MP3 from a CD that I have permission to use on my website.

It's a large file, like 4.8 MB, I am trying to load it on the website but it will not play.

How do I buffer a track so it begins playing, and loads while playing?

    Thanks..

Do it the old flash 5 way. Make a new fla, import the mp3. Start it on frame 1, then stretch the layer out till you find the end of the blue line, several thousand frames. Select the sound layer and set the Sync to Stream. Put a stop in the last frame on an actions layer. You can even use a dummy sound object in frame 1, so you can control volume and pan if you need to.

Do a test. Look at the byte spikes for each frame. they should be tiny, low enough the sound will even play on 56K. And of course, there is no buffering or preloading needed.

Use loadMovie or loadMovieNum to load it to the main movie. Click my link below and listen to the intro. Crank it up. This is done the same way.
