loader playing first second of all audio

Hi all,

I'm in a bit of a jam. I've inherited a flash project that I'm having to modify, and because I'm not that experienced, I'm having a few problems.

The project is broken up into 8 fla/swf files. First, the loader is launched, then the others play one after another.

What I had to do was add audio clips to 6 of the later fla files. Now, when the loader starts up, it plays the first second or so of each of those files. How can I stop this? I can't figure it out.

Is there an action I can give the sound file?
