attach a file from within a flash form?

i run a film production company and on my website have a form where talent can fill in info and send for us to database. what i want to provide is the option to attach a file from their hard drive, ie. a headshot. we've all seen this in standard html docs.
[like below in this very page!]
can this be done via a button within flash??

any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks!

The answer is yes and no.

You will need to use the Flash button and movie to instigate a PHP or similar script to do this for you.

Whilst the Flash button kicks off the process, it doesn't actually do all the 'dirty work' if you like - that needs to be back-end scripts.

okay, makes sense as the form itself sends the all the input text to a php file on the server that routes it back to me...anyidea what the as would be on the button or the php copy would be. better yet, know of any fla's out there that have done this before??

    thanks for your help!
