Okay. Here's the deal.
Everybody keeps saying use Illustrator or Freehand for vector graphics 'cause it's easier to import them. Well...
I just started using Freehand 8 (upgraded to 9), bought some books, read a LOT of tutorials and not one has helped me figure out how to JUST cut 'n past my objects into Flash. Every time I try to do that or save the file and import it the object turns out to be a big black or white box.
I've finally figured out how to import Illustrator 8.0.1 objects into Flash, but there were two things I can't figure out.
1. If I import the object with blue Fill into Flash it'll end up being 3 shades lighter.
2. I have to save the file in 7.0 version of Illustrator because if I save it as 8.0 then Flash imports just a black or white box.
What am I doing wrong? HELP!!!

For AI you should down load the flash writer plug in. You can get it off the Adobe site. This will export to a swf. You can do the same thing from Freehand. The only program that I have been able to cut and paste with is corel draw. Regards, Bill

In the beginning the web was without shape and color, and the hype covered the darkness of the net. Then there was a Flash and life came to the web and vision became reality.

Okay. Let me try and see if that works. Thanks for your input, Pope.

Well, I downloaded the Flash Writer plug-in and talk about OOPPPS! Now every time I open Illustrator it gives me an error message that says, "Could not convert the clipboard; it has been emptied. The illustration contains an incomplete or garbled object description. Offending operator: ""
Context:
2."
I'm just trying to open the darn thing. What is going on?! Maybe I'll just use Freehand.
