    installation of .movie files

Can you definately add a file from 3D Flash Animator file saved as .movie to a webpage, or can it only be inserted as a .swf? If not, can you save the animation as an animated .gif instead?
    Thanks!

Movie is the file type that the 3dfa editor saves as, this file type is can only be used within 3dfa. You must convert to swf for your website. 3dfa does have a output option of Animated gif. It will not show any animations that are scripted though.

    Thanks!
If I only use the on-screen animations, not scripts, can I save it as an animated gif with all the smoothness of flash like the effects without having to export it? How do I know if scripts are used?

Just select GIF export at the bottom of the movie properties.

If you don't wite a script then there is no script used.....

Path's work and all the built-in effects work.

Although to get the same degree of smoothness as in the swf file, the gif file will be pretty big.

Depends on the complexity of the movie!
