    Building Websites?

    Hi all
Ive scanned most of Flash Kit tuts and can not find much help for a noobie.

I've read the book "Macromedia Flash MX fast & easy web development"

But never touched any web building.

Can someone direct me to making a website with Flash MX 2004 please.

I wanna trace some nice pictures as a back ground, have some buttons come moving on like "about" etc etc

Have some animation going on too like a skateboard wheels moving and just a nice clean site.

    Any help plz.

    Thanks

    Waz

    What´s the problem?
If you have read the book, it must be easy tu understand how to do it.
I like all FLASH fans, but my girl can't stand them.

yeh, tbh if you have a book called 'web development' then you should really get some info from that!

just use an animation for a nav bar with some basic actionscripting...

and look at some tutes for tracing!just lock a picture and then make a layer over it,then use the pencil tool to draw over it!easy....

just try to build a site and come here and post questions that are specific, because asking'how can i make a site' is so vague...theres lots people could say...

just when you find an error that you can make specific then you post it here... good luck anyway

[edit] I have sent you a PM...

    Hi there,

Fridg3 is rite. How to build a website in Flash? kind of question is too vague. Even if i attempt to answer u, there are many , many ways of doing it, depending how u utilise Flash's capability. Off hand, i can think of these ways:

    1) build everything in the main timeline and use labels to jump from section to section eg, home, contact me, portfolio etc...

    2) put different section in different scene and jump accordingly

    3) create every section as external swf and load them into main movie when required

All the methods will give u the same results, but which way do u go? How much of flash do u know now to use which method?

As suggested, try building your site first with whatever knowledge u have and when u encouter problems, post here and i believe everyone on Flashkit here are very willing to help.

    Good luck!
