    is the new Flash video from On2? does anyone know which version of their
    compression software it is

    As far as I'm aware of On2 is primarily Truecast player/convertor.
    Flix is what they market to the flash crowd.
    Flix has been around for quite sometime. Originally part of the Wildform line of products
