I think I might get started in these competitions through this thread.
My song shall be: Moonlight Shadow
The last that ever she saw him
carried away by a moonlight shadow
he passed on worried and warning
carried away by a moonlight shadow
Lost in a riddle that Saturday Night
far away on the other side
he was caught in the middle of a desperate fight
and she couldn't find how to push through
The trees that whisper in the evening
carried away by a moonlight shadow
sing a song of sorrow and grieving
Carried away by a moonlight shadow.
All she saw was a silhouette of a gun,
Far away on the other side.
He was shot six times by a man on the run
And she couldn't find how to push through.
I stay, I pray
See you in heaven far away.
I stay, I pray
See you in heaven one day.
Four A.M. in the morning
carried away by a moonlight shadow
I watched your vision forming
carried away by a moonlight shadow
I am at work, and all I have is GIMP here... so I shall give it a go with GIMP, then do it correctly in PS when I get home.
Oh, and if you would like to hear the song... it is tied into a slideshow a freind and I put together for our NYLF experience this summer. (I am the white kid playing DDR. Don't be fooled by the innocence.)

This was made with GIMP... I simply didn't have the resources necessary to do what I wanted. Very poorly done.
However, I promise better things when I have some time later to work in Photoshop.
Refer to my prior post for the Song/Lyrics/Music itself.
*Photoshop version taking a hell of a lot longer than I planned to put into it...
May be done... next week... at this rate...

Well I had a dream
I stood beneath an orange sky
Yes I had a dream
I stood beneath an orange sky

That's right, I am bumping this thread because I feel like it.
Time for me to get back in the swing of things right?
Knights of Cydonia is my current favorite song.

I was reading Nordy's thread and I realized I have not used Photoshop to do anything but make website mock ups in almost 6 months. Though, it has taught me many new ways to use Photoshop, it is not very creative.
So here goes, comment, crits welcome as always.

Planet Claire Embassator
Though decision to choose one's favorite song... but I guess my lifetime song would be "Planet Claire" from The B-52's, so here it is:
Planet Claire by The B-52's
Ahhhahhahhahh
She came from Planet Claire
I knew she came from there
She drove a Plymouth Satellite
Faster than the speed of light
Planet Claire has pink air
All the trees are red
No one ever dies there
No one has a head
Ahhhahhhahhahh
Some say she's from Mars
Or one of the seven stars
That shine after 3:30 in the morning
WELL SHE ISN'T
Ahhhahhhahhahhahhahh

Planet Claire Embassator
I was bored... so I made another favorite of mine
Total Eclipse by Klaus Nomi
Big shots argue about what they've got
making the planet so hot, hot as a holocaust.
Blow up, everything's gonna go up
even if you don't show up in your Chemise Lacoste.
Total eclipse, it's a total eclipse,
it's a total eclipse of the sun.
Can't come to grips with the total eclipse
Just a slip of the lips and you're done.
Fall out, nobody left to crawl out
If someone calls, we're all out, turning in to French fries
Last dance, let the entire cast dance, do the dismembered blast dance
as we get atomized!
If you don't know who Nomi was, go google it, it was one of the best performers at his time. No one quite like him (not for the weak of heart though...)

Mourning Morning.
This is a song from a band that is pretty good. My Chemical Romance have a handful of songs that really blow me away, and the rest (in my opinion) are mediocre. Helena is one of those songs that blew me away when I heard it.
..::HELENA::..
by My Chemical Romance
Long ago
Just like the hearse you die to get in again
We are so far from you
Burning on just like a match you strike to incinerate
The lives of everyone you know
And what's the worst you take
from every heart you break
And like the blade you stain
Well I've been holding on tonight
What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
Came a time
When every star fall brought you to tears again
We are the very hurt you sold
And what's the worst you take
from every heart you break
And like the blade you stain
Well I've been holding on tonight
Can you hear me?
Are you near me?
Can we pretend to leave and then
We'll meet again
When both our cars collide?
What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
And if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
