Take better pictures
Alright, here is a list of some of the better photography tutorial sites that I have found. Before asking how to create certain effects, or just take better pictures in general, I would recommend browsing through some of these sites, they have a large amount of information, and make for pretty interesting reads.
Tutorials:
Morgue File
Probably as in depth as you can find for free on the internet. It will show you alot of good techniques and methods to take better photos.
**********
They have 592 links of photo tutorials, it may take some work to sift through all of it, but you can always find something good.
Basics of Photography
It is very tiny, but he does a pretty good job of explaining factors that go into a good photo.
Dan Heller's Tutorials
Has a bit of an assortment of information, from printing to purchasing, pretty good information on everything though.
25 Tips
25 tips for better photos.
Dcviews
Mainly a camera review site, they also have a pretty nice tutorial section.
DcResource
Another camera reviewer.
That is everything for now, if you have anything you think should be added just post it, and I will put it on (if it deserves to be).

i don't know if we can reply in this thread...but is there anything that can help you with specific digital cameras? Or moreover, what about the basics? I have no idea what aperature is, and is there a way to set an exposure time with digi cams?

keep the juices flowing guys... I'll be learning alongside ya'
ok, I took photography as part of my degree, but you'd never know it by my photos.
anyway, look for a possible resource thread to be here just like the Arena here shortly. So keep conversing and sharing. This thread will probably be the "feeding ground" to the ever-growing Photography Resources thread... when it happens, ai'ight?

Apeture- when the light passes thru the first set lenses it reaches an apex before it is returned thru other lenses then onto to the receptors (or film) the light amount is screened by the size of the hole (if you will) at the apex. As a general rule of thumb the larger the number the smaller the apeture. What is unique about apetures is the depth of focus depth of focus varies at different lens lengths (zoom) the wider the apeture the less the depth of focus. Depth of focus is always referenced as a one to two ration of the objects focal point distance. This is often displayed by markers on the lens barrel itself. To show what is in the focus range and what is not.
Some manufactures offer apeture preview. Which although darkening the display area
will give you a better perspective on the range of focus achieved.
