    _levels

    hi,

    I need help about _levels, i have a movie and inside this movie i have lots of links, these links open(loadMovie) a second movie, i need send the movie to a especific frame, but dont work only i have is the 1st frame i try diferent code and stay the same.

    on (release) {
    loadMovie("2nd_movie.swf", 2);
    _level2.gotoAndStop(28);
    }

    // dont work, stay in frame 1

    on (release) {
    loadMovie("2nd_movie.swf", 2);
    gotoAndStop(28);
    }
    // dont work, stay in frame 1

    I think is because the 2nd_movie have lots of scrollpane's and all load a MC from the library, do u have a solution for this?

    jeeze what is up with the loadMovie problems today. Try loadMovieNum instead of loadMovie, loadMovie loads into an empty MC.
    So tired of all the fighting....

    Before giving up try this

    on (press) {loadMovie("2nd_movie.swf", 2);}
    on (release, releaseOutside) {_level2.gotoAndStop(28);}

    You must let the movie load properly. Wich practiavlly means that you cannot issue the goto-commanjd straight after the loadMovie/loadMovieNum. Besides I think loadMovie actions aren't actually run between "frames".

    The simplest way is to set the target frame in avariable in the main movie wich is then checked by the loaded movie which will goto that frame after it has loaded.

    You can also send the desired framenum as a querystring variable in the loadMovie url. But that would hinder the movie from being loaded from cache if not targeting a previusly targeted frame.
