    button query

    Hi

I have a square button that is used many times over in the main movie - however I have hit a stumbling block in that for one particular feature I need it to be in an L shape. I dont want to have to make a seperate button for this.

Initially I thought I could split it up and use two buttons but obviously in this case you mouse over on one of them, and the other doesnt highlight and vice versa.

does anyone know how I can make two seperate buttons act as one ?

    regards

Why can't both the buttons behave the same way?

    For example:
    -same a/s
    -same look
    -same on mouse over/out/hit area
    -same look?
    -same link
    Losse

I want them to look like they are acting as one button. At the moment because the button shape I want is an L shape I have to split it into two buttons. However, when I hover the mouse over one of them I want the whole L shape button to highlight- not just one part of it.

is there anyway in actionscript to tell flash to make the other instance of the button act as if it also has a mouse over, so they act in unison?
