how do you delete a post?

ever since the forum upgrade, i have not been able to find where to delete a post.
this used to be on the 'edit' screen.

am i on crack, or has this option been removed?
can someone point me in the right direction....?

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

Currently only mods/admins can delete posts. That's how it is on most of our forums, if not all. When issues get resolved we'd like em to remain there for others to benefit from

To add to what JP is saying... while only the mods have the ability to delete posts, they are no longer actually “deleted” but hidden from members view. Members do not have access to delete posts any longer even if they made the original post. If for some reason someone needs a post hidden from view then they should notify the respective forums moderator, JPnyc or myself.

Sorry Nords Maybe we need to look into making you a mod

    thanks for the info ya'll.
you did a good job explaining the theory, and it makes complete sense.
the hidden thing sounds pretty cool.

Yeah looks like it's still enabled. Well it's ok by me if that's the way it was before. We have it disabled on most forums.

Ok, now I am totally confused.
Some people can delete and others can't?

Me too… so "some" people can actually "delete" a thread so that its gone forever and not just hidden from regular members view?
