Have you gotten the file linking all of them together done yet (just curious)? I say we wait until we all do 3 or 4 volleys before we reveal it. And maybe do the last round of them blind to add to the surprise.

Blind! Sounds good, we'll do it blind. Yes, unless we change our mind, we are now starting the last round. We also need to decide how we are going to finish this... anything special? We could always make the last volley end in white, thus creating an endless loop?

Woulkd it be possible to create the loop with like a 2 second fade between vollies? i mean in the sense that volley 2 starts to overlap the 1st 2 seconds from the end on a nice fade? i t think this because otherwise there's going to be a bit of a sticky moment between vollies where it will appear that the playback has stopped.

Just my 2p's worth, i could be bacrking completely up the wrong tree!

I say we just preload the whole shebang, with no pauses at all from transition to transition...

of course it looks like flashlight has a pause adjuster built-in, so I will trust his discretion with what to do with that.

yeah pinks my favourite colour - even my face is pink.

actually - I just thought it would be cool for the start colour and the end colour to pay homage to all that was "rad" about 80's socks....

glad you liked it guys - thought i'd mix up the style a bit.....

Oh, and thanks - I really enjoyed doing that (and I even got a bit over-excited when it came to e-mailing my volley)

It would be cool to be "counted in" on this sort of thing in future - i will keep an eye out for this type of battle again and maybe get myself in as a "regular"

Yeah. load them all at the beginning. You can put in pauses from the main file if you want. Maybe just a second because it will look nice being continuous.

i was talking about putting a cross fade in... to stop it looking like it had paused... make it look more continuous rather than a load of flash files bolted together

that's an interesting idea, but the whole point of us starting on the previous volleys ending color should serve that purpose... they are supposed to BE transitions, adding tansitions between the transitions might be a bit redundant i suppose.

Since all the transitions are seemless, there's no need for a crossfade - there is no pause. In fact, if any volliers would like a slight pause between their volley and the one before it/after it, that can be worked in easily, but it's all going to be one seemless series of transitions; that's the whole idea.

I'll keep you posted, I'd love to do this sort of thing again... I'm sure we all have plenty of ideas as to how this could be varied as well

I've got a few thoughts, I'll share at the end of this battle.

We could finish our battle as we have here and then open it up to everyone. Its not like it would be hard to add volleys as they come; just a matter of whoever is hosting to update it.
