hiya designers and creators outta there,

    although i know this ain't a sitecheck forum, i'd
be pleased very much if some creative heads would
take a glimpse on my lil' homepage.

it's just because i feel quite comfortable in the design
forum on flashkit and know some of you people by now.

(and of course because i know you all are just
CRAVING for some works from me )

    http://www.puresin.net

any constructive critique is greatly appreciated.

please be aware of the fact that it's still beta
(even if most of the designs are finished) and some
links and sadly the contact form are not working by now.

most severe is the fact that most images are not compressed
as good as they should and could be and that preloading
does not function well by now. be prepared for some long
loading times. (maybe you'll get yourself a coffee or two
    in the meanwhile )

i hope to get this fixed until Xmas.

    thx for your time

    Hi,
The loading wasn't as bad as I prepared myself for (I barely had time to pour a coffee!!) and I'm getting crap bandwidth this morning! I really loved the Iron bridge photo, very dramatic. The old hut was very eerie, great sense of mood in your photography.
The interface was simple and intuitive which is important.
I'm sure with some polish and refinement this site will continue to get better.
    Look forward to seeing more

    thx virtuoso,

still working on usability, the navigation is the
result of several years of webdesign...

it started out as a showcase for my photography,
but it was getting bigger and bigger as i went along..

    going back to polishing...

I just wanted to say that your photography is incredible. You convey your message well with each picture, creating a realistic mood and feel for the piece.

As for the site itself, also well done. Navigation was simple yet effective. The download time was almost instant for me, but I'm on a T3 at work.

Again, great work both in photography and web design. Keep it up.

    thx again steelwind,

my studies imply also photography, and it was love on first
    sight..

the website started out as a portfolio only for the
photographic section, but in time it evolved to a complete
    overview about my work.

i'm still a bit concerned about loading time, however.
i'm running isdn at home, and on some days it takes about
2 minutes to load all and everything on the page. on the
other side, the images in particular need a high quality,
and this is what increases the file size noticeably.

    thx for your time.

    Ummm

Ya know, in retrospect that makes o sense at all. It was one of those Jim Carrieisms I guess that just seemed to make sense for a moment. What i meant to say was, "Wow, you've really mastered that professional art looking style of design, while I, as yet , have not!"

    Rock on!

    Regards,

    hey puresin.

see what you mean about loading time. on cable, but checking it on a slower computer. from what i saw... using photography, especially your own always adds an extraordinary element to any layout. photography being my first love, (and my first degree) i can appreciate well composed images. tonal quality, composition, very well done. i see how it's getting bigger. wasn't your first site done in director? i mean it would be a good cd to hand out, as a resume. technically, some of the sections didn't show a preloader, but i just realized it... you mentioned that in your post. i also like how you give descriptions of each photograph. it seems you have thought of everything. the overall design is very clean and refreshing.
would like to see the finished piece.
    good luck and good work.

    yo pure|sin,

I really like the page, especially the photography. The black and white pictures look really cool, and have a lot of texture and feeling.

The only problem like you mentioned before - loading time. It was worth the wait and all, but I have a 28.8 connection, so it took FOREVER to load the whole thing.

I am not in the range of ANY faster services - expect for some satalite thing I have been hearing about (by the way - anyone know what it's called or the web site for it???).

Bottom line - great site - keep up the good work.
