how do you attach images to your posts

am i thick or what. i dont understand the explorer user prompt that appears when I click on the "insert image" button

You type or paste the URL of an image...

For example, if I type

http://www.robbmc.com/misc/fk/noob.jpg

Into the prompt it will dispaly this :



You can get the URL for an image off the web by right clicking it and selecting properties

You need to upload it to some webspace...

If you plan to upload alot of images think about settings up a Flickr account

Or you can also 'attatch' images to your post at the bottom of the reply form.

what are you trying to post?

You are welcome to use my gallery to upload a pretty picture to display inline or you can always use your attatchments to attatch it.

thats what I wanted - I could not see the attachments section for love nor money.

I just need to slow down, take my time and read all the words properly before jumping in with both feet.

if you click on 'go advanced' rather than do a quick reply at the bottom of the page, then click on the little symbol which looks like a globe with a chain link. that's how you insert an attachment.
