    locking ur files

    anyone know of any software where i can lock say a picture, a video, a doc
    so even if i leave my comp open that particualr file i put a password on can't be opened?

    if you are using xp pro you can set different rights to different folders for different users.

    I know that with microsoft word you can set a password setting for the file you want to protect. When it comes to video files and pictures i would suggest WinRAR, zip them and set a password for it..

    in the future, you definitely will want to include what operating system you're using. that will help tailor the information that people will answer with on matters like this.

    just a thought.

    I say burn to DVD/CD, delete off hard drive, lock up DVD/CD into safe. share teh combination or keys with nobody, you're set.

    I know someone who really does that.

    instead of a simple cd book, he uses a safe.
