    Help on MySQL and PHP

    hello everyone..

i was wondering if you could help me out on something..

first of all, i'd like to state a few things...

i'm an ASP programmer working on a windows XP Pro platform, running IIS 5.1..

my situation is that i need to have mysql and php running on my desktop computer...

so i'd like to ask a few things:

    1. can my IIS be configured to run php, or do i have to get apache?
1.1. if i do need apache, aside from my IIS, what version of apache should i get?

    2. what's the best version to install for MySQL?
    3. what's the best version to install for PHP?

..guys, i don't know what versions i should download.. so please help me out, so that i can get to work with php soon..

thank you for your time.. for the effort to read this post. any help will be appreciated.

    good evening!

You can run php on IIS.

go to php.net and mysql.com, there should be information on which versions you need.

    sorry, subway. my mistake.

to admedia and mabanz, thank you for your replies... i see that the download for bigapache is around 100MB, and i fear that my current internet connection always has to disconnect every 2 hours, and with a modem, i don't think i can finish that download. but thank you still..

i'll try to go to the sites mentioned, but if anyone else has an idea on how i can go about this. please do reply still..

    thank you everyone.
