A-Levels are Advanced Levels. They are taken at 17/18 years of age in the last year of secondary (or 'high') school. What you get decides if you can go to university or not. It is the equivalent of graduating the senior year in the USA.

Today is results day. Going to pick mine up at 10ish. I haven't applied to uni, so if I fail, I'll only cry a bit.
