Airplanes... Really the safest travel?
I know that air travel is supposed to be "the safest form of travel," but what is this lately? All you ever hear on the news now is plane crashes. The South America crash, Greece, Canada, and I think there were a couple others that I can't remember.
Even though this isn't really funny, it sort of was when during one of the fatal crashes, the news reported that everyone had died, and that their familes were going to be flown in to identify their family members. Their family members just died a horrible death, and they want them to just up and travel by the same means they did. I don't know about you, but I don't think I would be so eager to jump on a plane.

I think a plane crash would be more exciting than a car crash.
You just have to think about it logically. What are the chances of it happening to you. If you worried about everything that conceivably could happen to you, you wouldn't get very far.

Well, if the current airplane-crash trend keeps rising, the probability of dying in a plane crash increases, though, if you put these crashes into perspective and compare the crashes to the amount of flights made, it's not really anything to worry about.
Still something to be concerned about.
They need to invent something like "lifeboat parachutes" or something where a lot of people can get out quickly, and safely.

It's not a trend: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...rouped_by_year
And have in mind that there are now much more flights than, say 1985.
