breaking down an animation?
I got a question from a pal of mine:
"what is the best program to break some animation down?"
So it got me wondering what IS there you can use to break down an animation?
I had no clue, but asked some more questions..is it an animated .gif image that he is trying to see the individual images of.....or is some sort of FLASH animation?...etc..
I think he is speaking VISUALLY, and not really decompiling anything for CODE use.. hes doesnt know or do anything web/graphic related.
thanks for any suggestions..

Fireworks should let you inspect an animated GIF frame by frame. Flash might if you import it.
You can then send him the individual images.

Imageready opens animated gif's frames.

Flash definitely will import it.
