Under the influence
Nepzap that volley was awesome, the perspective of the shadow is a bit iffy but I love the look you got on everything, almost like a painting.

Nothing special, just a checkerboard design set to soft light.

gesteves bvgroot thanks for the props
You know Dri and I are taking it in stride. He inspires me with something and hopefully there is reciprocation. But we are in some nasty political times and when Dri set it off with that serve, man did it inspire my ..s, anyways I guess our artistic reclusion is no longer our little secret. Huh. I volley soon.

Here is my return.
O.K. Dri kind of started where I wanted but then the piece took a whole different approach and a whole new life.
See what you can do with it.

Great return! I love what you did with the head. You did a nice job with the rivets / screws. I've seen the texture you've using throughout the design, somewhere, but I can't place it. It almost has a velvet or suede quality. It looks really good with the sharper butterfly images.

Well... the texture is just some grunge brushes in white and then overlaid on of the layers of the image. Thanks for the complement. Oh, wait a minute I had used a set of brushes on a volley a while back in a battle with nordberg. And it so happens that it is in a green background on this one. Well... I just noticed that before Signing off, maybe that's what you meant.

Nice I can't wait to see it.
Here is something to show people. I'm not trying to suggest that You Dri are insinuating that I'm not using my own imagery or that anyone else is or that I'm just cutting and pasting on top of another pre-made image, But I figured I just put this up so people can see that I take my time in preparing these images.

that baby's head is far to large.

I definatly didnt pick up on that being a baby when I firs saw your image but it makes sense now. Thats cool how the stripes on the shirt of the guy holding the baby turned out in your final image.
One thing about that stock image however is it looks like you had to scale it a little bit too big and that made it pixely.

Yep I noticed that. I have to be more carefull with that from now on.

How did you get those sharp outlines Dri?

damn guys... you're putting it down with the images. impressive.
nepzap, if anything, your textures are getting way better. only critique, I would have worked in the scar and rivets a bit more onto the kid's head a bit more as well as gotten rid of some fringe pixels on the butterflies. There's a bit of saturation too.
Dri... cool image. Not sure I see the continuation though.

Continuation from the previous volley? That actually wasnt required in the rules and is just something nepzap did anyways.

I see that now since I went back to the rules.
