but Vantec finally came out with the Vantec AVOX Jukebox enclosure that allows for easy notebook HD addition to it's small case and share movies, photos and whatnot with people without a PC on their end.

But 118.00 without the HD. That's a bit high, no?

You can get vosonic in the states right? Doesn't this do the same thing? In England there's this one too.

That Vosonic just does memory cards. I'd like to have the duality of a hard drive... external storage, what not.

Actually the first one is just cards, the second one houses a HD. Not sure if that's available in the US.

A lot of the embedded Linux/HD ones aren't available in the states... I've had some Euro friends talk up the ones in Germany and friends in Japan show me the ones available there... but that's an untapped market here, big time.

Amazingly enough, for what it's worth... the US doesn't even lead the piracy of movies like the rest of the world. Maybe that's the reason?

I've found two prices, one for about £90, the other for £150, the £90 one is in Germany, the £150 one is in the UK...

I emailed both to see what the deal was, discounts for multiple buys etc... I'll get back to you though

Yep - 2 bookshelves full of parts. Actually have 1 6GB notebook HD myself. Time to get myself on ebay.
