I'm running Flash MX.

Relatively new to video in flash, but I have implemented video before successfully; but I recently tried a WMV HD file, and the import failed. (After the import processing, it stated it could not read the file.)

They are still .wmv files, but the compression codec is obviously different, and they have 720 or 1080 visible lines of detail, as opposed to the 480 (or lower) of standard video.

Maybe this is an MX issue, resolved with the newer versions?

Has anyone successfully embedded a WMV HD file into flash? Wouldn't surprise me if Windows is locking users into viewing the files within their player - if I understand the technology correctly, it is XP-only right now, no Mac, no older OSs.

Is there a size limitation for imports? The files are huge - the one I tried is around 150MB.

Finally, a beginner question - I just don't understand the framerate interval setting - I've read the help file explanation, I still don't get it - anyone point me to a practical explanation?

Thanks in advance...
