    Creating Desktop Icons

    I am trying to convert an existing logo into a desktop icon. Any advice on what tools I should use to do this (to recreate and output in the correct format)?

    I am on a PC, BTW.

    If you require more info, see below.

    * The graphic nature of the logo
    --- Swirly and colorfull.

    * The hardward/operating system for which it is intended
    --- PC -Win XP, NT, 2000

    * Still or animated
    --- Still

    * How it will be used
    --- It will be an icon for a desktop application

    I think theres a freebie plug in for photoshop that lets you save to .ICO format.
