I have a movie clip that takes a picture, divides it into twelve parts, and then shows them all, one-by-one, with gradual fade-ins. When I view the clip alone, it works beautifully. But when I view it in my project, it only shows three pictures repeated in the twelve spots.
I have no clue what's causing this to happen. Please help!

PS - my file is too large now, but I'll try to cut out that one clip and upload it again (takes a while on dial-up).
No, I just put the twelve pieces (as their own movie clips) on twelve different layers. I just did Motion Tweens for transparency over three frames, and have each layer's tween moved over one frame from the one before. Make sense?
I attached a pic of what the timeline looks like.

The first three on the first line show how the picture should reveal (at frames 5, 10, and the last one). The picture on the second line is what shows up. As you can see, it's slightly different than the top one.
Chk out if you accidentally didnt duplicate the movieclip instances, instead of duplicating them in the library. Check it, coz, if you have done it, obviously the symbol in the movieclip remains the same and whenever u changes the symbol(in this case, it is the small image thumbnail..), the change reflects in all the instances of the movieclip.
Cheers...
I'm at school and, thus, don't have Flash with me, but my library had the movie clips:
pic1 (the big one)
pic1a
pic1b
pic1c
pic1d
pic1e
pic1f
pic1g
pic1h
pic1i
pic1j
pic1k
pic1l (letters were the individual parts)
I don't understand your question, mysticpixels. I'm almost positive I dragged them from the library into the pic1 mc, but I could be mistaken. If I did mess up, do I need to start over, or is there an easy way to fix it?
I even went through and did the animation in the small pieces themselves...the pic1a, pic1b, etc. Still didn't work - they don't even show up when I do that. Can someone please help me? Or is there another, easier, way of transitioning images in/out besides simple fading or zooming in?
