[Game] Death in Sakkara: An Egyptian Adventure

    Hey,

Just a little pimp for our most recent release. I can't describe how much work went into this, came close to killing me ( Well, close to me never wanting to open Flash again ) but I think it's proved more than worth it.

It requires registration, but honestly don't let that put you off, the BBC has insanely tight rules about not spamming, and you can play straight away ( It really is the smoothest and nicest registration system I've seen ).

I'm really tempted to big it up 'cause the sheer size and scope of it is so large, but I'll just leave it to you guys to play.

    The Adventure begins...

Damn that looks amazing. I only had a chance to get a glimpse of it right now, but by what I saw and heard, this is one amazing game. I'll be sure to play it when I have the time too.

Good job, it looks like it was worth the trouble of all that work (and you not using flash again =P)

Now I know why you asked all those questions ages ago about conversation engines.

Thanks for the responses already, quite suprised.

Mr. Chris, everything is xml babe, everything!
It had to be done for worldwide syndication.

    Thanks CL
Yeah, that's why I asked about conversation approaches. Took forever to get my head around the xml structure. Stupidly simple, but it always is once somethings done

You can even play as guest, dont have to register (but I guess your game wont be saved).

The game is bugged! I was there chasing the thief and suddenly (just before I might of catched him), the game stopped and didnt play anymore. All I saw was empty gray area

Very nice game! Finally cracked that stupid safe! You get stuck on looking at number of words and sentences when it's really quite obvious once you see it I caught the thief but he got away in a car

Don't have much time to have a play, but looks awesome. It ahs a sort of comic book look to it. I'll give it a go later, I'm sure I'll enjoy it fully.

I'ld love to see more adventure games out on flash (A sam & max style adventure perhaps?).

    damn it!
i first played it for just 20 minutes or so, and was utterly impressed that it almost felt like a "real" adventure (say "the fate of atlantis"), i always liked that setting (time and space).

*BUT* i spent alot more time later this night when i got stuck on my current game ... damin it - i went to bed at 0400h because of it. and now customer meeting hell with my eyes halfway closed.

    shish! nGFX

    Wow, it looks great!
I also didn't get past the safe...

Worldwide syndiction! So how many languages is it going out in? Does this mean that all the conversation balloons are dynamic? I hate that kind of thing! When the german turns out to be 5 times as long as the english and you have to redesign everything because the copywiters won't budge...

    Oh! How nice

Graphics are really nice, like nGFX said, the setting and feel reminds me of those lucasarts indiana jones point-and-click adventures, always loved those...

Didn´t play it that long though, never have enough time to play adventure games these days

Great job on the conversation engine and everything! How long does it take to complete it in minimum time, how many hours of gameplay?
