FlashLite with PHP/mySQL

Obviously what with Flashlite being a relatively new format I'm not totally upto speed with how it functions.

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to incorporate php/ backend scripts to a database? So in theory someone on the go could use their mobile phone for a service type their postcode and will return a list of providers for that service.

FlashLite supports loadVariables which you can use to call a PHP script - the only catch being that the user has to approve each time your script calls the internet. But basically it is very simple to do.
