I've added the code to my page a few hours ago, will let you know if it's worth. Currently the stats site is really slow.

Btw, you can track outgoing links, downloads, banners ... as well: http://labnol.blogspot.com/2005/11/t...ers-files.html

It runs so slow and is so buggy. I would recommend using NextStat for web statistics.

I'm not that hard to imitate. Just make some random negative claim at Apple or anything else for that matter and then have nothing to back it up.

That's not nearly enough. For example my blog that is only three months old does already easely three times as much and sites like Flashkit do 20'000 page views in a few minutes.

Let's hope Google can figure out the problems soon.

And if you are getting more than 20,000 page views in a month h (like FlashKit) and you want to keep track of stats then it is probably worth forking out a little bit of money for a quality product.

20'000 page views a month is nothing. They just want you to switch to the payd service and make money. Google has the limit in the millions, that's enough for most sites (not for FK btw).

The 20,000 pageview limit is lifted if you have an active AdWords account (must be in good standing).

Googles limit is not 20'000, the NextStat is, Google is much higher (5 million pageviews a month).

How much does Google Analytics cost?

Google Analytics is absolutely free! We're very pleased to be able to offer this web analytics solution for no charge, allowing anyone with a website to track conversion data, analyze the flow of visitors through their site, and identify elements of their site that could be changed to improve visitor retention.

This free version is limited to 5 million pageviews a month - however, users with an active Google AdWords account are given unlimited pageview tracking. In addition, Google Analytics is completely integrated into the AdWords front-end and with your AdWords campaign, making it easy to track your AdWords ROI.

Update: Analytics now works and shows stats!

Some of them are really interesting. I especially like the visitor world map, the screen-resolution stats, the Flash version stats and the connection speed stats (7% of my visitors still have dialup). Really nice.

Oh and Google Base is now officialy launched as well --> http://base.google.com/

Works fine for me, fast and bugfree. I had to remove my WordPress stats plugin because I got too many visitors and it filled up hundreds of MB of stat infos into my DB, so this comes at a perfect time for me. I still have a stats tool that analyzes the server logs, but you just don't get enough informations about user behavior that way.
