    alty going to the world cup?

    Alright, I may have a free place to stay during the world cup, and possibly a free ticket too. My friend and his older brother and several of his friends are going and they want me to come. I would need to take a MONTH off, I am already pretty much broke, and I know nothing about soccer....will it be worth it for me to go?

    yes, definitely worth it. It is one of these things that you need to experience once.

    Imagine the great atmopshere and you are in the middle of it....

    one word of advice... say "football" not "soccer" unless you want to be laughed at.

    Just don't bring the tradition over into soccer "football" from rubgy and cut off anything

    definitely do it. Once in a lifetime opportunity, and i'm very jealous! Plus there will be plenty of opportunities to explore a bit of germany - always worth it.

    You haven't heard about the soccer rule then? Anyone who calls football soccer can legally be killed. Its a law sanctioned by fifa themselves!
