    How they do that?

    Okay,

There has been a Flash interface style that is all over the web. But now that I need examples I can't find any. Figures!

I hope you know what I'm talking about. It's a common interface style that is very abstract. This style has been used on many flash websites for the passed few years; many by designers in these forums. The designs consist of monocrome gradients, with strokes and subtle graphics.

Sigghh, I hope you know what I'm talkling about. I'll keep on searching.

Anywhoo, I want to design that type of interface. However, it is hard to do since I don't know what the designs mean, where the designs come from, or how it is made.

    ???
I'll continue to search and post the look I'm talking about here.

I'm hoping to learn how to make these types of interfaces. Does anyone know where I might find tutorials for such designs?

    Peace

Without a link or proper description, you're asking people to read your mind.

monochrome gradients with 'subtle' colours just sounds like old trendwhore style to me. check out the old 2A sites and tell us if it's like that...

    edit: http://www.2advanced.com/archive/v3/flashindex.htm

got bored and tracked one down...

That's close, but not exactly what I'm talking about. I'll search again and post it here. I think Flashkit interface samples might have some of what I am talking about.

Actually, this look is very close to what I'm talking about:
    this is closer

With refernce to what those styles mean...I don't think there is any sort of 'meaning' as to why people design interfaces like that, other than the fact they want their site to look techy, or futuristic. There's no subtle 'meanings' behind the look of the sites...

*Then again, I may be wrong!

I'd have thought they're made straight in flash, using the tools in there, or the backgrounds, etc, are made in photoshop first, then imported into flash.
