    PDF Files

    Hi all

    Lets pretend for a moment that Im a graphic designer who knows nothing about webdesign, but has always been interested...Having got hold of a couple of tutorial videos...I am producing a basic flash based website for my mrs wedding supplies business.

    A very simple website to start with (more complex later, lets not run)..overall it looks ok the buttons work fine...everything seems ok and then theres a PDF file? well its a catalogue really I created this file in Corel and printed to Acrobat Distiller so that customers can view the file on there PC..without the need for specialist software, now stored on my PC

    So the qestion is where do I put the PDF...a button linking to this external file...ok but how do you link it...embeded in the flash file...ok HOW?....my videos tutorials only cover the basics and I have only been learning in the last 48hrs

    any answers and I'm tired and want to complete this exercise ASAP

    please..thankyou

    GJ

    You put the PDF anywhere on your server and then to link to it you use the following actions on a button:
    on(release)
    {
    getURL("myFile.pdf");
    }

    I'm not that hard to imitate. Just make some random negative claim at Apple or anything else for that matter and then have nothing to back it up.

    Yes....you just upload your PDF into the same direcotery that your website is in (where you put your html file). CJB.net used to just do redirectors but it looks like they do hosting now too.

    Upload the suite? If that is what you are wanting to do then not only is it illegal but it wont fit on your server...You can upload PDF's though....that is a nice collection of software...must have cost you a pretty penny.
