    geese in flight

    Hey everyone,

    Just wanted to share a pick i took in the summer, this shot won me a camera bag which was definitely unexpected.

    D'OH! Actually i just realized there was a photography thread thanx for the heads up. Perhaps a mod can move this over.

    pay no attention to lefty and the animal thread

    one of the missions of this forum is to create a venue for photo reviews, and as i understand it, you are allowed to post a new thread like this. and i love the photo. you captured the action well, despite the change in lighting (the shadow line is halfway through that group of geese).

    dope shot!

    Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

    I really like the colors and DOF.

    I would have liked a bit more space around the birds and it's just a shame the DOF just misses the front and back birds. Good capture though.

    thanx guys, it was one of those spur of the moment shots but i was still quite pleased with the results.

    Great Picture Seventh, congrats on the prize too, what camera and setup did you use here??

    Love the colors, what time also were it taken?

    THanx for the kind words,

    I use a Canon Digital Rebel XT, with a 70-200mm f4 lens. If i could remember the setting they were 1/250 shutter priority, fstop 4 (which explains the slight blur of the goose in the forground...shoulda stopped down more) at 200mm. I believe it was early evening as the sun was going down. I used Photoshop's channel mixer to emphasize the colours a little more, but not much.

    Ok... so you can do awesome 3D choppers in Swift3D and take awesome photographs!?

    I've only recently gotten into photography but it is yet another one of my many interests.....also anothe expenssive hobby
