    How can I keep from cacheing external .jpg's

    I'm building a gallery of images in Flash MX and my problem is;

    I don't want Flash or the Browser to cache ANY of the larger sized images.

    The goal is to keep a user from going to their temporary internet files and grabbing the images.

    I do however want the .swf file and other specific images to cache.

    Does anyone know how to do this??!?!?!

    Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help

    webdreamer,

    The answer to your question is:
    Because not every question falls into one simple catergory. My question is a "Flash MX" question as much as it is an "Actionscript" question. It could also fall under a lot more catergories and it's hard to pick just one place to post it and hope that it gets seen by someone who knows the answer.

    Now can you answer my question?

    Most "post repliers" on the forums dont browser through each catagory looking for post to help in. In most case's when i browse the forums "view new posts" is the first page i visit.

    To your question.

    If someone wants the image that badly they could just as easily do a screen grab. In fact that would be an easier option than sifting through IE temp folder.

    Hope it helps

    I'll have the image water marked.
    Actually the whole point of my question is to determine exactly HOW i'll have it water marked. If I can keep the image from cacheing then I can put a watermark on the image in Flash rather than on the actual image. Then I can also make the water mark "somewhat" moveable

    Try doing a forum search for "stop files caching"
