    cell phone pictures

I have a flash movie that displays pictures, but I thought it would be really cool if you could click a button and have the picture sent to your cell phone.

Verizon wireless already does this with Flash on their vtext.com site, but I was wondering how difficult it would be to add it to my site.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!

For people with verizon, the "Email" adress of their phone, from the internet, is +(their phone number including area code)@vzwpix.com

I don't know about any other carriers, but if you find that out, you can have radio buttons for their carrier (US & Canada ONLY I think), and an input text box for their number, and some backend, so that if their Verizon, you add a [+] symbol before their number, and finish the email address at "vzwpix.com".

So basically, if you know some backend, preferably PHP or ASP, then this won't be too hard...

Actually, just checked, there's no [+] sign in the verizon carrier phone's "E-Mail Address", its just the number @vzw.pix.com.

Thanks Sportsguy!! Actually, I'm a Verizon customer myself, and I tested it out with the [+] sign in front of the address and it worked fine. Thanks again! Any idea on the other carriers addresses?

I found several sites that list the addresses, but most seem to be only for text messages, not picture attachments, but it may work anyway. I'll have to give it a try.

Here's the best list I found:

Table 1. Wireless operators' interfaces to SMS
    Operator
    Web
    Email

    Nextel
    http://messaging.nextel.com/
    <number>@messaging.nextel.com

    SprintPCS
    http://messaging.sprintpcs.com/
    <number>@messaging.sprintpcs.com

    AT&T Wireless
    http://www.mymmode.com/messagecenter/
    <number>@mobile.att.net

    Cingular
    http://www.cingular.com/sendamessage
    <number>@mobile.mycingular.com

    Verizon
    http://www.vtext.com/
    <number>@vtext.com

    T-Mobile
    http://www.t-mobile.com/messaging/
    <number>@tmomail.net

Any other resources to picture messanging please let me know. Also, if anyone is interested in the ASP code to do it, let me know and I can post it. Thanks!
