Throwing an object

I am making a movie, and in that movie the hero trows a granade for a distance on 40 meters.
How would he find out the best angle and strenght/speed on an easy way.
Please don't come with a complicated answer, I am going on the first year of High School.

if u dont want a complicated answer, try 45 degrees and play around with the strength

if its only a movie, then it doesn't have to be that accurate... or maybe it does?
