What you see here is a 100 by 450 pixel piece of a 650 by 450 image. You're not supposed to see the rest of the image, and try and imagine what it looks like, and continue it. like this...



This continues until we have a long canvas that all links together.
How its going to work is:

1) A member from one team will post the last 100 pixels of his image as public.
2) A player on the other team makes a 650x450 image, that continues from the 100px image that is provided.
3) The member submits an image that shows 100px of the right side of his volley.
4) The user emails me his 650px image (dricciot {at} purdue {dot} edu) without letting anyone else see his finished product
5) The cycle starts again.....

If anyone has trouble understanding the concept just drop a message.

Yup! That does hurt a bit. I'm all cool with non-sign up and cross-forum battles where people are picked, but why'd you have to do this with the roll canvas? This was a pretty big thing in the arena, and when you take it away from some of the members here who would have had a lot of fun with it, and others who are new and would like to contribute, it kind of puts the hurting on getting the arena up and running again. Again, i'd be all cool with this if it wasn't a roll canvas.

Thanks for the support Lefteye. I just sort of thought it might be slightly unfair that people didn't even get a chance to voice that they would like to contribute. Usually cross-forum battles aren't done in this format, so it makes sense. Rollcanvas is something that is really cool at Flashkit, and I'm sure it would be fun to be a part of.

Does anyone want to start a roll-canvas for the non-elite? That way we could include some of the newer people.

How about it? JWin, Lefteye, Natsia, Pointguard, Creativeinsomnia, there are lots of us who could participate.

I didnt know you guys all wanted to do a roll canvas so badly. Lets just do two at the same time then. DQS wanted to do a battle with us and liked the idea of doing it this way because it was something different.

dric, it's all cool. It might be hard to get participation going for 2 roll canvas' at the same time with everyone participating.I just thought that the Roll canvas was a good 'community' event for all to participate without regard to skill.

I think there should be a non-competitive roll canvas put up too.

The inter-forum battles have always been historically smoother when people accepted via PM - at least they'd be more honest about when/if they had time as opposed to letting people sign up and they "disappear"... been too many people that's disappeared and I've been listed as an alternate despite being busy, I had to do something.

There's one battle that I was an alternate and it had pictures and textures I pulled from the motel room I was stuck in while in Philadelphia... all done in like 8 minutes or so to avoid being "late"...

It's nothing personal guys. Seriously. But I'd personally like to start up a separate community roll canvas - and I'll host it again.

In case you guys forgot: RollCanvas 1.0 and RollCanvas 2.0 (flash) and RollCanvas 2.0 (html)...
