    only one swf file opens, then nothing...

    all of my files are here under exiled folder:
    http://briefcase.yahoo.com/downloadgeek

    what happens is that the index file opens (thats good) then you click on the lyrics button and the lyrics page opens (thats good) then you click on one of the titles and those lyrics open up (thats good)...but after that no matter what else you click on in the titles area nothing else opens up!!!

    can someone please assist me?
    thank you!

    Hi
    It seems to be a problem referencing the paths ....I got it working however with a workaround that i have used before for a problem like this....
    Though hopefully someone else here at Flashkit will see something iv'e missed and save you time editing!

    Like this...create a global function that can be called upon to sort out which of your external swfs to load by using 'if' statements and referencing a variable....this variable gets assigned values via the buttons on the main swf that are used to load the external swfs and also the buttons within external swfs....
    here is the variable and function i used....
    (iv'e only put in 2 if statements for now as i could only check 2 of the files you provided....so you would obviously put in any more needed for the other ext swfs....)
    code:
    mySwfId = "";//initialize variable
    _global.mySwfLoad = function() {
    if (mySwfId == "lyrics_always trying.swf") {
    loadMovie("lyrics_always trying.swf", "contents");
    }
    if (mySwfId == "lyrics_anytime anymore.swf") {
    loadMovie("lyrics_anytime anymore.swf", "contents");
    }
    //////etc////etc/////
    //// the rest of if statements needed related to loaded swfs////
    };

    Then to give the variable a value and to call the function ......i put, for example, on a button within an external swf.....
    code:
    on (release) {
    _level.mySwfId = "lyrics_anytime anymore.swf";//set variable
    mySwfLoad();//global function called so it checks if statements
    //then loads the relative swf

    }

    Like i said....this worked my end!
    Hope this helps ....
