Removing the background from a movie.

Similiar to the online presentations found at Macromedia.com, I just can't narrow down my tutorial searching for editing a video, whether its an .FLV format or an actual .mov or .avi

Can someone help me in the right path to editing out the background on say a talking man, so I can start with a white background and then add backgrounds to it...

Any software for this? Is there something I'm missing in flash?

    Thanks
    Brett

There a coupe of ways to do this, but the best is to start with a chromakey background when you shoot the video then use the alpha channel in Flash 8.

Otherwise, I would start cruzing the video forums and work on removing your background with AfterEffects or the like.
