    Not the usual preloading question!!!

    Using dreamweaver you can preload images so that they are cached for when you need to call on them.

    Is there any way of doing it for swf's?

    I guess it probably is - although i was thinking more of the entire movie rather than a movie clip. Not really a flash thing as much as a javascript in the body of the html file.

    The entire movie (I think) stays in the temporary internet files after it is downloaded anyway, but I may be wrong on that.

    thats right - but how do you preempt that. How do you download it BEFORE you want to view it.

    So you'd be looking at a splash page (for example) and whilst you are looking at it home.swf is secretly downloading! Then you click 'enter' and the linked file seems to take no time at all to load!
