    shared object in flash 8

    I've got used to use shared object in flash MX ,but i couldn't when i tried to do the same in flash 8,and i had to puplish it as flash player 6 ,but that affected my design badly ,i want a method which works properly in flash player 8 to save any text such as shared object.

    Shared objects work basically same way in Flash8 too. Just make sure your code does not have undefined variables or "add" command.

    Download the example from the post below from my thread. It is flash 7 but works fine in 8 as well.

    i couldn't know the problem in my file,i've attached it so any one can help me know the problem.
    i want it to restore the name entered after the SWF file is closed and re-opened,when pressing "load" button .
