Your fonts are not embedded which means for me half the text goes off. If you use dynamic text field then embed font with it.

    I like mouse-avoiders.
But I can't play this one: when the diagonal line from bottom right appears, I die without touching it. I'm almost sure you check hitTest with the bounding box of the diagonal line instead of the line itself. Read the topic on hitTest a couple of times more.

(And: Allthough I'm not a moderator or something, I would like it if you put all your questions and other posts in one thread, so it would be something like "chill93101's mouse avoiders thread", but I don't know if I'm alone in this opinion.)

well, in that thread you asked for the same , so I repeat:
    read this thread: http://www.flashkit.com/board/showth...0&pagenumber=1
till your head bursts from headache, then tell here what's your code and what you think is your problem.
It's the only way to learn actionscript.
    Happy reading!

use math on the XY test.
get a rough loation center of ball to bar (angle to bar). Then pick the point closest to where the ball should be to the bar. Hit test it that way with x y.

Or for a rough one, just pick 4 corners on the ball (top Bot Left Right) or use 8 (include top left, top right, bot left, bot right)

this is really getting me confused.

can one of you please try and do this to my game 4 me (it is attached), the little green dot on the second frame contains all the hitTest actionscript and the bars are all contained within the MC called maze (which is above the main screen thingy.)

    thanks

    Try this then....

On your line movieclip / object for the lines, draw a filled box around, about the radius of the ball. This new object, make its alpha = 0, thus the box around the line is not visible but you can still use it for an x,y hit test.

So now you can test the center of the ball, to hit the invisible box. If the center of your ball hits the invisible box, the edge of the ball should also be hitting the visible line.
