I'm pretty sure he's right man. I've done an effect very similar to that before, and thats how I approached it.

It looks like what Daz said. it's a movie clip with 1's and 0's in like frames 1-40 then the words in frames 25-60 and it just repeats. Regards, Bill

ive posted a reply in the actionscript forum for you, but ill just post here as well. :>

looks like its a movie with 2 layers with a movie symbol for the 0's and 1's on the upper layer, and the text on the layer below.

put the top layer movie symbol over the text so it hides it, and then motion tween the movie symbol on the top layer to go off to the right, so that as it moves away the content of the lower level (text) becomes visible.
