Load times on embedded video pages...

I've got a site with 4 vid samples about 3.5mb each embedded into description boxes. I have them set not to autoplay and the page loads fine for me on a 15mb FIOS connection but people on slower connections are saying the page just stalls. Is there a way to get the Flash vids to load in the background so they can see the rest of the page while the vids are coming down?

Have you thought of trying loading your flv's externally rather than embedding them? If you mean dial-up when you say slower downloads, then you are in for a tough go...I have never found dial-up and quality video a good mix. Since you say you can view your video correctly, it probably isn't your server. Frankly, I think you need to consider whether the majority of your site visitors are going to have the horses to properly view your site. You may have to create 2 sites, one for real broadband and one for slow download.
