    lol - what a joke.

i bought another 40GB dealio, but i don't really like it. it works OK, but has a weird cord issue. it has a 2 inch USB (male) cord coming out of it. this is fine, but with some PCs you need a longer cord which has to be female to male (basically and extention cord), and it also has to have power (USB 2.0). that, in itself, annoys me to no end.

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

Apple's wired keyboards come with one. Not a good solution, I know, but I just thought of it.

They have a little notch in them which only fits the keyboards... you could probably bodge it though. Would it be USB2?

I'll have to check when I get home, but it's just a USB cable AFAIK. It's definitely powered and I assume supports USB 2.0 (don't have a 2.0 controller on my rig), my Shuffle charges off the keyboard which uses it to connect.

Moot point. I'm sure there's cables on newegg for less.

Nords, which drive did you end up getting?

it was on sale...it's made my SimpleTech. there's nothing wrong with it other than the weird cord configuration. the FireLite i had before was much sleeker and easier to use (universal usb 2.0 was all you needed).

Because, in my personal opinion/experience, Ipods suck compared to other mp3 players you can get for less.

    Christ, not this nonsense again.

If any of you remember the original thread, Nordy's iPod is full to the brim.
