xml sendAndLoad

Hey, I've read the xml help in the flash help file, basically copied the whole thing except the address sending my data to.

My problem is I always get an Error opening URL text. the address is correct I've checked a few times. Does anyone have any reasons why I can't connect to this server? I've tried both with the swf on my local hd, and the swf on the site sending the data to, still nothing.

Are you able to verify that the server is sending out the correct data? Check the XML file with your browser and make sure that the XML file is being returned.

The other thing to check is to look at the web server logs and see if the xml file is being read.

Okay, I checked the file, and it hasn't changed anything. Even when I got a connection it would not change the existing server side file

Are you trying to change the file on the web server?

Are you using a backend script?

If you aren't using a script then you can't change the file. Otherwise anyone would be able to change any file on your webserver.
