    I have two movie clip on the stage.
    movie 1 contain a button.
    on Movie 2 I have frame label.

    What's the good syntax to use so that on(release) my button on movie 1,
    movie 2 would go to a certain frame label??

    Is ti possible to control a movie from another movie?

    Thanks!

    Howdy, controlling movie clips form other movie clips is a good use, espically in large projects. One thing though, with this first MC is it just the button inside of it or are there other things?

    First off, make sure Movie 2 has an "instance name". You can assign an instance name in the Properties Window (just below the droplist where you can choose Movie Clip, Graphic or Button). Try something like: myMovie

    Now, Movie 1 Doesn't really need to be in a Movie Clip. It could be a free floating Button on the stage if you wanted it to be. In any case, select the button, and then (in the Actions window) type the code:

    Code:
    //This us code that goes on the button
    on (release) {
         _root.myMovie.gotoAndStop ("whateverYourLabelNameIs");
    }
    If you are targeting a frame with a Label, make sure NOT TO FORGET the quotation marks!
