Pffft. I prefer to buy my Wizards new.
Who wants a used Wizard that's probably been abused and will break on you right in the middle of a crucial task?

Moved from the chat only and no technical questions Coffee Lounge to the more friendly, knowledgeable Design and Graphics Forum instead... as you can see, asking in the wrong area will invariably mean you won't get an answer.

However, as you've stated your question, you're leaving out a lot of detailed information... such as what graphic programs are you utilizing and/or have access to and what's your output requirements? Is this for web, animation, Flash?

With that information, I'm sure people in this area can definitely answer your question... but right now, it'd be a guess. If you had Photoshop 6 and above, all you have to do is pull a Layer Effect and assign Outer Glow to the text layer. About three clicks and you're done if you want to do it in that automated fashion.

like gerbick wrote, you will get good results using the outer/inner glow function in photoshop. it is just important that your glow color reflects the actual surroundings...just using the default yellow might look just weird (same as many people are using black as an drop shadow color...shadows and light/reflections are always based on the environments color)

beside using the glow function, you can also use several layer styles (screen, multiply, color burn) to archive interesting glow effects....

i was using this (and the glow effect) a lot in this layout here:

    hype

    hope this helps

the "clouds" and the pulsating orb were done in cinema 4D , everything else is after effects (same with the subnav)

    If you're talking FLASH 8...
Convert it to a movie clip and then use the Filters tab - then add the glow effect you want.
