    Money Offered for solution

I have a SWF on a single web page, which is linked to by 450 different links, each with a ?arg number.

The links call the Single Web Page (real HTML page, not generated via Javascript) with the Single Swf file on it like this ---

    www. somedomainname . com / myWebPage.htm?nnnn

where the nnnn is a 4-digit number.

I need to be able to have my swf Read that number and/or URL of the swf's web page INTO a var in the swf (ONLY when my Swf wants to read it), so I can have it do an animation based on that nnnn number.

I do NOT want 450 different pages all with the same swf, or different swfs, using Object or Embed special tags, OR using document.write javascript to try to build the page. That will NOT work. I want my single swf to read that nnnn number on that single page which is linked to from 450 different links.

    ( I am using Flash 7, not 8 )

Practical answer needed, $100 offered (via PayPal) for quick response.

    NO TIME-WASTERS PLEASE.

dude..thie WILL be the last post.. it was the WAY you want it...you HAVE to use PHP or Javascript to get it form the URL...you have to EMBED your flash movie a certian way (only once) for you to be able to get a VAR from the URL.. this is the LAST bit of help I will offer you.

NOTE to others: I am happy to use Javascript or PHP, within limits, depending on the method.

I am NOT happy to runtime-build the page embedding code with Javascript.

but then what IS wrong with it...?? can you explain.

this is 1 line of javascript... ONE TIME..ever!! how that can THAT NOT be what you wanted? all this 1 LINE does it allow you do grab ANY vars you want out of the URL..

I have told you many times already that your solution is NOT APPROPRIATE.

My pages will be re-published often, with different sizes, colours etc by non-HTML-Java-skilled Flash workers. The EMBED code must be as created by the Flash IDE, not by hand tweaking.

NOW will you PLEEEEEASE Leave Us Alone ? Please go away !

This is the SECOND THREAD of mine that you've clogged up with Spam.
