    code for frame rate

    What is the code for the FPS number in action script?

    now my answer pretains to flash 6 knowledge and lower but I am pretty sure you cannot get the frame rate or adjust the frame rate in flash that easily. the best you can do is have a movie that runs at 30fps and then create an if statement that will only run after x amount of time so it emulates 15 fps. The flash it self is running 30 fps but the action script is only firing off half the time.

    I dunno becuase I was wondering the same thing... I was wondering specifically if there was a way to adjust the frame rate dynamically... that would be too cool, sometimes. Anyway, I've been doing all this stuff with MTASC compiling movies w/out any assets, etc., but I'm not all that good at it yet. FPS is the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that I don't know how to adjust with ActionScript alone.

    if you want to know how many frames/second you're getting, that's another thing. Is that what you mean?
